Here's what's happening across our school this month...
Our school's first ever Talent Show is being held this month, specifically May 17th at 6:00 pm. Tickets are $5.00/student and $7.00/adults. For more information and to audition for a spot, please see Ms. Fishlock. There are 15-20 spots available.
The tradition continues! The annual Spring Concert is May 9th at 6:00 pm. As always, the event is free. Please come out to support your fellow students! The Journal is proud to help out the Music Department with this year's performance. Behind the scenes tidbits can be found here.
The gymnasium will be closed for renovations throughout the month of May. Physical education classes will be held on the outside track and field area. Construction will not limit the current 8th grade basement level or cafeteria. Our news team is led to believe that the current basketball court floor will be redesigned to fit with the current theme of our historic building.
The great observance of Cinco de Mayo is honored at a luncheon inside the auditorium. For information, and to order tickets, see Ms. Molina in room 312 or Ms. Rustin in room 220.
A celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month takes place starting May 1 here at MVSA. The Journal is proud to showcase the stories behind our shared heritage and how people of Asian and Pacific Islander descent are benefiting our community. You can find these stories right here on the blog.
The MVSA community observes College Day on May 3rd alongside our fellow MVCSD schools. Highlights of College Day 2019 will be the celebration of National College Signing Day and impassioned talks about collegiate and post-secondary life.
