(MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. / The Journal) — The apocalypse has arrived. Well, not for us, but in a new show on Amazon Prime Video, it has. It's called "Good Omens", and is based on the 1990 novel by English authors Neil Gaiman and the late Terry Pratchett. Neil does a great job as a book writer, but also as a screenplay writer as well. Michael Sheen and David Tennant are amazing in the Amazon Studios & BBC Studios co-production alongside a stellar cast which includes Frances McDormand, Jon Hamm, and Nick Offerman. So, without really involving many plot points, Aziraphale and Crowley have known each other since the Garden of Eden. Aziraphale gave Adam and Eve a flaming sword to survive the dark night, while Crowley was the infamous snake who tempted them to eat the apple. They since bond and fall in love for the pale blue dot and the lifestyles its inhabitants have. So, when their respective head offices notify them that said pale blue dot is going to be doomed for good and result in the war for the end-times, they will do everything to stop it from happening. Including a hunt to find the missing Antichrist.
The show has already premiered on Amazon Prime Video a few days ago, and is going to be aired on BBC Two in the UK approximately 6 months from now. You can have a 30-day free trial to Amazon Prime Video if you just want to watch the show, but if you want to try all of Amazon Prime, there's a 30-day free trial for that too. That free trial includes Prime Video as well, plus 2 day free shipping, Prime Music, and much more.
